After dinner, guests transitioned to a separate space: the venue’s wood-paneled study with built-in bookcases and old-world charm. To soften the space and amplify the surrealist aesthetic, we brought in layers of tropical plants—wrapping the carved fireplace, dark wood, and Louis-style furniture in lush greenery. The result? A cozy, immersive lounge that felt like stepping into the second chapter of a vivid dream. This intentional contrast between the dinner and after-party spaces allowed us to play with emotion, texture, and flow—ensuring the night unfolded in distinct, immersive acts.
The unique wedding reception ideas didn’t stop at the styling. A Paradiso-inspired cocktail experience anchored the evening, featuring fire-breathing bartenders, theatrical pours, and gastronomy-driven drinks that engaged all five senses. Small-scale live music gave way to curated “party activators”—guests in surrealist fringe, velvet, and sequins who brought the fever dream to life through movement, mood, and magnetic energy.

As destination wedding planners who specialize in boundary-pushing events, we love reimagining what wedding celebrations can look like. We believe intimacy doesn’t have to mean simplicity. This styled elopement was crafted as a surreal, sensory-driven celebration—a private dinner party turned fever dream, designed for a couple and their closest friends.
Château Nouvelle, a venue best known for its opulence and traditional weddings, became the backdrop for something far more unexpected. We began by transforming one of its tucked-away architectural nooks, building a “room within a room” to house an immersive dinner experience. Deep red velvet draping enclosed a rust-hued serpentine table, styled with a maximalist spread of florals, fruit, scalloped glassware, and candlelight. Every detail nodded to modern Renaissance excess with a moody edge.
