This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a weekend-long celebration of art, animals, and effortless hospitality—all set against the cutest small town, Round Top, Texas.
The weekend kicked off on the couple’s private ranch with a Welcome Party that felt like Texas through an editorial lens: local beers and signature cocktails, a towering smoker, live music, and dinner under a clear-top tent surrounded by oak trees. Guests wandered between cocktail hour and a curated gallery exhibit inside the bride’s father’s “Art Barn,” featuring works by local Texas artists from his personal collection.
Artful and Whimsical Ranch Wedding in Round Top, TX inspired by Travel and Eclectic Style
Saturday’s wedding brought the couple’s love for global design, gallery spaces, and four-legged friends to life in a completely custom experience. Inspired by their travels—and a shared love of Gray Malin’s playful photography—the design wove together visual nods to France, Germany, China, and beyond. French café umbrellas shaded lounge vignettes. A favorite hotel lobby became the blueprint for the wedding lounges, influencing every piece we sourced for the space. Florals leaned into their love for wild gardens and arboretums, from dancing vines on the floor to painted glassware and floral-forward stationery.
One of the most personal design moments? A custom seating chart featuring hand-painted pet portraits of the couple’s guests’ dogs and cats. Each acrylic painting doubled as a table marker and a favor—complete with a notch for guests to hang as a Christmas ornament or frame at home. Custom sketches of their own Chow Chow mix, Chowder, made appearances on the menus and bar signage (appropriately dubbed the “Chow Down”).
The night ended on a high note with live musicians joining the DJ for the final dance set—bringing the couple’s favorite songs to life and turning the reception into the kind of dance party no one wanted to leave.
Every design choice reflected the couple’s world view: playful but polished, deeply thoughtful, and completely personal. This was a wedding that didn’t need to be explained. You could feel exactly who they were in every detail.
